The Reality
The CBI filed a chargesheet alleging a criminal conspiracy in which Group D jobs were awarded in exchange for land transfers to the Yadav family. A Delhi court ordered the framing of charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and other family members including sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav and daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, on 9 January 2026; charges were formally framed against Yadav and Rabri Devi on 16 February 2026, with both pleading not guilty. The ED has separately attached assets worth roughly ₹6 crore in a related money-laundering case.
